Senior Capstone

      Progress? What's that? I'm kind of focused on the two most important projects of this semester so I'm not exactly focused on this project at the moment. Anyways...     Enjoy this twink. I'm very proud of him. A Roman God is what he is.

       So, I've been busy.      I took a break from the little girl I've been drawing (I call her Mitsuki btw) and started drawing a different character. A little fact about me is that I'm attracted to feminine men... so I wanted to draw one. He's an OG creation of mine. I call him my pretty boy.     These are outlines that I copied from photos of a model on Instagram (Elijah Langston), a random guy I saw on Pinterest, and the OG pretty boy Björn Andersen. When I'm having trouble with a character design I find a reference on Pinterest, put it into my drawing program, and trace over it to get a feel of what it's like to draw the features I want in my character.  I actually got a lot more done than I thought I would for this week. Most of my work for this semester is done during sleepy hours, weekends, and hollidays. By the next critique I'll have so much more done. Here's what I got so far.... A finished piece, though I may add some more shading to the character. Started an emotion sheet. It's going well... This is turning out better than I thought. I'm really happy with it. I don't have as much done as I wanted to by the first important critique. I wanted to do a sheet of the different outfits this character would wear for different occasions. Unfortunately, I realized way too late that maybe instead of trying to finish one at a time I should probably sketch out multiple things then work on them gradually, but oh well. I'm happy with my progress because I'm really trying to stick to the character designs of each character instead of winging it. It's been fun actually and I usually do these assignments during m...

      More progress than last week but still not as much as I'd like for the capstone. A lot of my work will have to be done on weekends and hollidays. I am happy with my stuff this week, though. The reason for my seemingly slow progress is that I like to do my pieces one at a time rather than rough sketches for all of them then working on multiple. This one is going to be a front, side, and 3/4 view of the character. I will do this for each character I present. This little girl is just the one I started drawing first. I have this problem where I really like lace, but I suck at drawing patterns, so I've been practicing with lace patterns I find on Pinterest. This is a very short timelapse of the front view pictured at the top to prove I did it I guess. I don't know why I felt the need to put this in here, I just personally like watching them.
